Jessica Flores, M.S.

Jessica is currently a doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology program at the University of Kentucky (UK). Previously, Jessica served as an intake assessor and individual therapist at UK’s Counseling Center. Since the fall of 2017, she has provided individual CBT treatment to clients at The Harris Center. Jessica is currently serving as a clinical psychology extern in the Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Clinic Team (PCT) at the Lexington VA Medical Center, where she conducts intake assessments and provides trauma-focused individual and group treatment to veterans. Additionally, she delivers brief psychoeducational interventions in English and Spanish to patients seeking care at UK’s Clínica Amiga, a pediatric primary care clinic serving the Latinx community in Lexington, KY. 

Jessica’s research interests focus on understanding trauma response, the development and treatment of PTSD, and the impact of trauma and PTSD on health outcomes, such as sexual and reproductive health. She is also interested in examining potential mental health disparities among trauma-exposed underserved populations.
